Viewing Australian Data

Using your mouse or the navigation controls within Google Earth®, you will be able to zoom in and out and navigate around Australia. When you have identified an area of interest, click on the region and an information window containing data for that region will pop up.



This window presents data for 6 attributes in the selected area:

• the area code
• the area name
• the index score for the area
• the percentile for the area
• the decile for the area
• the rank for the area

More information on the index scores, ranks, percentiles and deciles can be found in the SEIFA Measures section of the SEIFA User Guide. Note that areas that did not receive a SEIFA score are transparent in Google Earth®; this is why the underlying satellite image layer can be seen for some areas.
